Biocalyx crown:
1. a double-reference to the anatomy of the pomegranate.
2. calyx: a crown-like protrusion that grows from the bottom of the fruit.
3. somehow, i feel a personal connection with this fruit with it's many important roles in mythology, literature and history. call me crazy if you must. ..but i'd prefer persephone.
